Canterbury Oberon-2 for Java (version 2.5) requires the following pre-installed software in order to correctly run:

• Java SE Development Kit 5.x or later
• A byte code generator, such as:
  • JAVAC (part of JDK), or
  • JIKESfrom Sourceforge (formerly maintained by IBM Alphaworks)
• A Java debugger, such as:
  • JDB (part of JDK)

Canterbury Oberon-2 for Java offers the following main features:
