We have been using various Linux distributions for many years and have come to appreciate its usefulness for common office tasks and software development. Imagine the ability to boot your favorite Linux distribution whether you are at home, at school, or at work. Imagine you can easily carry it with you. We are not talking about the live-CD Linux distributions like Knoppix and others. Rather it's about having a bootable Linux stored on a small USB stick. Of the many Live-CD derived versions convertable into bootable Live USB sticks the SLAX Linux is in our opinion an outstanding one.
